- Your preferred shooting days and location
- Your clubs colours and any ideas you have for the 'look and feel' you'd like in your team photos
- Fonts and branding guidelines if you have them
From there Melbourne Sports Photography will:
- Design team photo backgrounds for you to select from
- Organise logistics for the shooting days based on the location you have selected
- Look after photo print ordering and payment
- Conduct the shoots
- Post production, naming of photos, and print production
- Deliver the final prints to your club in team packs ready to be distributed to your players and families

Hawthorn Magic 2020 Team Photos
A lot has happened since the Melbourne Sports Photography team shot the Hawthorn Magic team photos at the end of February and the beginning of March 2020. Melbourne Sports Photography post production team had a busy few weeks editing images and organizing prints, while at the same time the coronavirus impacted sports and there has been no basketball. The good news is the restrictions in Victoria are easing, and each day we are getting closer to community sport returning. Hooray!
More good news for Hawthorn Magic players and families - we delivered your prints to Basketball Hawthorn a few weeks ago, and they are now ready to be collected from Basketball Hawthorn office by your Team Manager.

(With the current government travel restrictions we are still able to come to your home, or workplace, as that travel would be defined as for work purposes. We have portable studio lighting equipment.)

If you already have the image you want printed on canvas - great. If you need us to re-open galleries of sports events we have shot, just let us know and we'll get those galleries re-opened so you can select an image.

Navigating Challenging Times
Like many businesses, Melbourne Sports Photography is facing challenging times due to the impact of the coronavirus. We shoot large sporting events and tournaments - all of which are currently postponed or cancelled. Our pipeline of events booked in the diary has completely evaporated. How long will this be for? We wish we knew (!) and are taking steps to make sure Melbourne Sports Photography is there for you when sport returns.
In the very short term we are still available to work with individual athletes, where we can observe the government protocols around social distancing and making sure we play our part in 'flattening the curve'. We have time on our hands, please get in touch if we can help you.
We can also provide access to older images we have shot. If you are looking for a present for the athlete in your life, there are currently very good deals available on canvas prints and other products. Drop us an email if you would like us to re-open an old gallery, or if we can help with your print products.

Making a Splash in Diving Photography
This month the Melbourne Sports Photography team shot a diving event for the first time. The event was the Diving Victoria pennants week 4 competition held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre at Albert Park.
Diving is a spectacular sport to photograph, with the moves in the early part of the dive similar to gymnastics, and then extreme speed as the diver approaches the water! It is a sport which is exciting and challenging to photograph. Well done for the images produced Phil, Sally and Craig including some spectacular images looking down from above at the divers.
