Thank you to Melbourne Figure Skating Club for having Melbourne Sports Photography's Craig Dingle along to photograph the Gems on the Ice event.
Across 32 routines there was a great display of figure skating with many skaters showing their skills and expertise.

For those who had filled out the photography expression of interest, we have edited and uploaded your images here on the Melbourne Sports Photography website. The images are in password protected galleries, and we have emailed the password to the email address you provided on the expression of interest.

Thanks again to the Melbourne Figure Skating Club for having Melbourne Sports Photography there to capture the action.
As an aspiring pro sports person, you want to stand out from the wannabes. In addition to your in game performance, it’s often your first impression that makes a difference, and in today’s world of social media your first impression needs to be strong.
Show the world that you bring game, but you also bring personality, professionalism and marketability.
Melbourne Sports Photography specialise in professional studio portraits that reflect the confidence and drive you bring to your sport.
Here are three stand out reasons why our clients choose us when they want dynamic sports portraits that make them stand out from the crowd.

There is a time and place for natural light and "in game" images, but it’s the controlled environment in the studio where we can really elevate your images.
Our lighting setups are designed to highlight you, compliment the colours of your team, and minimise distractions. With a plain white background which can be lit in any colour, through to a black background which allows slow shutter speeds and implied movement, we can create a wide variety of impactful images.
If you want to stand out from the crowd, be a social media star, and appeal to different brands – then a studio sports portrait session is for you.
It’s one of the biggest reasons people book with Melbourne Sports Photography, with studio lighting we make you look good.

We avoid short, rushed sessions which don’t do justice to your dedication to your sport. Melbourne Sports Photography studio sessions typically take 90 minutes. That includes a consultation on artistic direction, discussion of wardrobe choices and incorporating props, posing guidance, and time to shoot with a variety of lighting combinations, backgrounds and special effects.
You’ll be surprised at the range of different images we can produce in a single session.
You are welcome to come alone or bring team mates and have a fun session together.

It’s not easy to stand out from the crowd if you are relying on "in game" images, and images you’ve shot on your phone.
A Melbourne Sports Photography sports portrait session demonstrates that you are serious about your sport, your brand, and your look. Brands and teams know about the performance you bring to the game, now show them the personality, professionalism and marketability that you can bring as well.

It's not just about photos. Melbourne Sports Photography deliver more than that. We guide you through the process and deliver professionalism, confidence, and marketability. With top quality lighting, and fun / unique props it’s no surprise we are one of Melbourne’s leading studio sports photographers.
Ready to go? Book your session today for some of the best studio sports portraits in Melbourne and come away having had a great experience, and with images that lift your social media profile.

It has since been revised and we are now number 8 ... but are still glad of the recognition for our website and blog.

We are planning new blog content - particularly for potential clients who might not know us and are looking for information about the process of sports photography.
